Pros
The family has a general caring mental attitude nearly its employees. The family unit knows nearly of the employees past proper noun. The family has finally accepted (or insisted) on the retirement of a vice-president whose characteristics includes harsh employee reviews, ungratefulness, and a narcissist view.
Cons
Family is too willing to accept unprofessional behaviors from its vice-presidents and directors that are not acceptable from the administrative employees. In some cases, the family encourages the behavior past rewarding the unprofessional beliefs with offices or company paid trips. Policies are inconsistent particularly those course the Hour department. Polices are issued that are internally inconsistent and randomly enforced depending on position within the company. Managers accept significant responsibility for performance but very picayune reward. Managers are not eligible for visitor trips and were supposed to host a trip on a rotating basis. The managers may be a host based on an unknown/unpublished set of standards which announced to be based on each individual officer. Functioning standards are inconsistent. Some behaviors may be tolerated by one manager or officeholder and non tolerated by another managing director or officeholder. HR attempts to level the operation standards with very limited success.

One benefit that they provide to evidence they care is by providing employee recognition trips to our top individual contributors for the twelvemonth. We volition go on to focus our efforts on recognizing staff at all levels.

Completely misguided in the interview procedure. Direction and longtime employees harp on how slap-up the company trips are but you'll but make that if a) you go lucky in a territory that has big leases due or b) y'all've been there for fifteen+ years and have larger accounts. It'due south too funny that GFC is attempting to be a technology company now (really just a printer company) when they don't fifty-fifty let you go trained on their software sales until you're there for a certain amount of time or if yous make trip from printers alone. It's just very misleading. Also, think alee. I get it's been successful in the past but people and businesses are changing. No one in their right mind wants to spend hundreds a calendar month leasing printers from a company while they can just go digital with everything. Management also is and so assail their own numbers, they could care less about training y'all upwardly right. They just want you to knock on every single door in the country and ask them to purchase. It makes no sense. No value. My commencement calendar week I was thrown out to my territory to knock on doors alone, I didn't even know the production even so or annihilation about the company. Makes admittedly no sense. You can meet why at that place'southward so much turn around….over promised and under delivered. Just hey keep having the people that take been there for 20 years (when printers were actually existing in every business) hype upward the visitor trips and how much coin they make! In reality, no new person will practice anything near that. Unless they become completely lucky with a few lease renewals in their territory. But don't worry, those will get taken or moved from you lot anyways lol

Solid teamwork at the "phone call center" levels (Service Desk-bound), but you volition ever be left out of the loop on major changes until they are implemented.

Opaque direction, returning to role a requirement for employees who can practice their entire job from the moon, extremely low wages given the skillset needed.
